She Past Away (TUR)

She Past Away is a dark wave / post-punk duo from Turkey, formed by Volkan Caner (vocals, guitar) and Doruk Ozturkcan (drums, synthesizers). The band combines old and new aesthetics of synthesizer music with guitar compositions and minimalist poetry sung in Turkish.

The duo's discography begins with the EP "Kasvetli Kutlama" (Remoov, 2009) and the debut album "Belirdi Gece", released digitally in February 2012 and on LP by Fabrika Records in 2013. The album featuring hits "Rituel", "Ruh" and "Kasvetli Kutlama" was ranked by post-punk.com among the best albums of the 2010–2019 decade. In May 2015, the album "Narin Yalnızlık" followed, and in December 2018 the band signed with Metropolis Records and re-released both albums for North America.

In May 2019, the album "Disko Anksiyete" (Metropolis Records / Fabrika Records) was released, in May 2020 a remix album "X" with contributions from Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon, Clan of Xymox, Front 242, Lebanon Hanover and others. In October 2020, the band released their first live studio album "Part Time Punks Session".
