Arrival

Several alien spacecraft have landed on Earth. No one knows who is inside them or what their plans are for humanity. The military grows nervous as the world waits anxiously to see what happens. Linguist specialist Louise Banks must find a way to communicate with the visitors from another planet.

This intimate sci-fi film relies on excellent performances led by Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker, but above all on a clever story in which the effort to find common ground with aliens ultimately leads to something far more personal.
