On Gendarmes and Gendarme Comedies

A lecture with projection by JUDr. Michal Dlouhý, Ph.D., titled "On Gendarmes and Gendarme Comedies", combined with a book sale and author signing. The speaker appears in a replica of a period First Republic gendarme uniform.

The first part covers nearly a century of gendarme history in the Czech lands, including the role of gendarmes in the resistance movement. The second part discusses the television series "Gendarme Comedies" and "Crimes of Greater Prague", on which the author collaborated. In the third part, he presents his published works - interested visitors can purchase selected books at a reduced price, which the author will then sign and stamp.

The event takes place as part of the exhibition "1st Republic & Art Deco", organized by Gallery One One in collaboration with photographer Angelo Purgert - his photography project with a charitable dimension is part of the exhibition. The period atmosphere is complemented by the Aristocrat Vintage exhibition featuring original antique fashion and the Coffee Museum Alchemist exhibition, dedicated to the history and culture of coffee. The exhibition connects contemporary art, photography, fashion and the legacy of the First Republic. The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and has a charitable dimension.
