Soprano and Guitar: Vladislav Bláha and Viera Gulázsi Maňásková — NAIRI – Dům mezinárodního dialogu, Brno

An intimate evening combining the human voice with guitar. On Wednesday, 2 December 2026 at 18:30, soprano Viera Gulázsi Maňásková and guitarist Vladislav Bláha will perform in the new space of NAIRI - House of International Dialogue in Brno. The programme is built on a dialogue between soprano and classical guitar - from lyrical and operatic pieces to a repertoire inspired by Spanish musical tradition.

Viera Gulázsi Maňásková's concert practice includes arias by Mozart, Delibes, Donizetti and Bellini, Baroque repertoire, and Spanish music for soprano and guitar. She worked for many years as a professional musician in Iceland, where she held the positions of music director, organist, and choir director. As a soloist, she has performed with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, collaborated with the chamber orchestra Virtuosi di Praga, and given concerts in the Czech Republic, Iceland, Slovakia, Austria, and Italy.

Vladislav Bláha, professor at JAMU and pedagogue at Brno Conservatory, is a prominent figure in Czech classical guitar. He has performed in more than 55 countries worldwide and was the first Czech guitarist to give a solo recital at Carnegie Hall in New York and at Royal Festival Hall in London. He is a prize-winner at international competitions, and nearly thirty composers from sixteen countries have dedicated their works to him.

The concert offers an opportunity to hear both performers up close - in an intimate space where the colour of the voice, the detail of the guitar, and the communication between the musicians will shine.
