The 17th Day of Folk Tourism will take place in Šluknov and the surrounding area. A tourist bus will be stationed at 9:30 in the town square in Jiříkov, from where it will move to the theatre below Šluknov Castle, where the event begins.

About the venue: Šluknovský zámek

The Renaissance castle in Šluknov was built between 1566 and 1573 by Arnošt ze Šlejnic in the Saxon Renaissance style, on the site of an earlier fortified manor. A devastating fire in 1986 left it in ruins for two decades until a full reconstruction reopened it to the public in 2007. Visitors can follow a First-Republic-era tour route dedicated to the last owner, Ervín Leopold Nostitz-Rieneck. Every year on the last weekend of June, the castle and its park host a period-costume Castle Festival.
