Guided Tour of Káznice Prison

The former regional prison in Brno on Cejlu is a building with a history stretching back to the late 18th century. Originally located beyond the city walls, it gradually found itself in the heart of the city — and few realize that executions of political opponents of both Nazism and Communism took place here well into the 20th century.

Guided tours (60 min) explore the stories of prisoners and guards, daily life behind prison walls, and the broader political and social contexts reflected within these walls.
