Everything Changes

More than two thousand years ago, a book appeared in Rome whose author, Publius Ovidius Naso, told stories even older still: in fifteen books he gathered both famous and obscure myths and legends of the Greek and Roman world. The way he wove them together and developed them continues to inspire awe - a flight over the chasms and shallows of the human soul, a kaleidoscope of the world with all its sensory experiences, laughter and sorrow.

Ovid's "Metamorphoses" are a fabric woven from the red threads of fate that surround us in waking and in sleep. Again and again they transform into new images of human and divine destiny, telling of transformations that never end - from stone into serpent, from tree into human, from bird into star.

The narrator has chosen his favourite transformations from more than 250 stories, mixing the known with the unknown in the spirit of the original, and now retells them in his own words.

The performance is multilingual and comprehensible in Czech, suitable from age 14. The space is barrier-free and accessible to people with limited mobility.
