Through the Curators' Eyes: The Work of Egon Schiele in the NGP Collections
took place · 3 Oct 2026
Description was written before the event
A guided tour with Petra Kolářová, curator of the NGP Drawings and Prints Collection, will present Egon Schiele's iconic drawing "Seated Woman with Bent Knees (Edith)" and three of his paintings - "Still Life with Flowers", "Dead City", and "Pregnant Woman and Death" - on display in the exhibition "1796-1918: Art of the Long Century".
The "Through the Curators' Eyes" series offers insights from those who work with art collections daily, care for them, and study them in depth. In each session, a curator focuses on a selected part of the exhibition, explores themes from their research, and highlights details that might otherwise remain hidden. The presentation combines expert knowledge with an accessible approach and invites dialogue.
