Forms of censorship in the era of video art's emergence and today: debate on the evolution of technical image regulation.
A panel discussion will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 14:00 at the House of Arts (Malinovského 2, Brno). Invited panelists include: Keiko Sei, Hynek Trojánek, Tomáš Javůrek, Kristina Cyan, and Natalia Gravenor.
The discussion explores how censorship and visibility of technically mediated images have changed — from an era when access to cameras and broadcasting was restricted to elite structures, to today, when algorithms and the distribution logic of digital platforms determine image visibility.
The discussion is a companion programme to the exhibitions Distorted Image. Chapters from the Origins of Video Art and ShadowFrame in G99.
