Years of Denial (FR/CZ)

Years of Denial is a project by French musician and producer Jerome Tcherneyan, former drummer of British band Piano Magic, and Czech performer and musical artist Barkosina Hanusova. The duo has been active since 2016 and created their own genre, which they call Suicide Disco. With hardware instruments, dub effects, and Barkosina's vocals, the pair draws from post-punk, gothic, new beat, EBM, industrial, and rave culture.

Live performances are built on rhythmic beats, pulsing arpeggios, and heavy, psychedelically-tinged electronics, complemented by a striking performative element on the dance floor.

The duo's discography is created primarily in the Ark of Noise studio and released on Death & Leisure, Pinkman, and Veyl labels. The albums Suicide Disco (2019) and Suicide Disco Vol. 2 (2023) defined their sound and brought remix EPs with Orphx, Silent Servant, and The Hacker. In 2025 they released the EP Love Cuts, blending death rock, future goth, and EBM with poetic lyrics. They are currently working on Suicide Disco Vol. 3, set to be released in November 2026 on Veyl Records.
