Art Workshop for the Book Babi

An intergenerational art workshop with artist and illustrator Martina Trchová, inspired by her book Babi - a wordless story about longing, yearning, and encounters. Bring grandmothers, daughters, mothers, grandchildren, and fathers, and try the technique of etched drawing with painted colors.

The workshop is designed for children from 5 years old; younger children can participate with adult help.

BABI (HOST, 2023)

Martina Trchová's book tells, without a single word, the story of a two-year-old girl discovering a world full of magic and mystery. It also captures the touching dimension of forced separation from a great-grandmother - an experience many families have had in recent years, whether due to lockdowns or annual flu epidemics that cut us off from loved ones in hospitals.
