Vox Imaginis: The Late Voice of Autumn

The November evening of Vox Imaginis will bring to the Hall of the Museum of Decorative Arts two works from the late creative periods of their composers: Brahms' Clarinet Quintet in B minor op. 115 (1891) and Gabriel Fauré's String Quartet in E minor op. 121 (1924), which he completed a month before his death. Poetry by Karel Červinka from the collection "Landscapes and Moods", dedicated to autumn, will also be performed.

Specially for this evening, dresses by French fashion designer Jacques Doucet (circa 1912) will be displayed from the collections of the Moravian Gallery.

Performing are the Graff Quartet and Canadian clarinetist James Campbell.

The event is realized in cooperation with the artistic association ARS COLLEGIUM, Jana Smejkalová, and with financial support from the City of Brno and the State Fund for Culture of the Czech Republic.
