Whisper of the Forest

Director Vincent Munier - winner of the César Award for Best Documentary in 2022 and a nominee at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021 - ventures into quiet forests with his father and son, where morning mist conceals the traces of lynxes, bears, and deer. He seeks to capture not only the visual beauty of the landscape, but also what the forest whispers: the rustle of leaves, the distant song of birds, the crack of a branch.

Munier weaves together footage of nature with the music of silence, creating a personal story about transmission - the wisdom his father once gave him and which he now passes on to his son.

The Whisper of the Forest is a documentary about the relationship between three generations and about nature as their shared language.
