Summer 2001. Seventeen-year-old Kien, with his striking red hair, returns to his family in a market in Cheb after ten years in Vietnam - instead of a warm welcome, he finds a distant father, a worried mother, and a younger brother who offers him nothing.

Amidst ironing Pokémon onto t-shirts, drilling Czech grammar, and dating by the lake, secrets surface that will turn the market upside down. Director Dušan Duong's film tells its story with lightness and wit, offering an authentic glimpse into the community through the eyes of the first Vietnamese generation to grow up in Czechia.
