The Devil's Plan
A French comedy about a neighborhood war that begins with an innocent desire for a larger apartment and quickly escalates into a mad battle full of cunning schemes.
The Berger family wants to expand their Parisian apartment at the expense of their neighbors, the Tusars - but they are content in their home and have no intention of moving. The Bergers won't give up on their dream and resort to any means necessary to force their neighbors to leave. Will they manage to outwit them?
The play was written by Didier Caron; in the original it is titled "Le duplex" and after its premiere at the Théâtre de Paris in February 2024 under the author's own direction, it returned to the stage. French critics received it very well - the newspaper Le Figaro called it "a mad show where the audience is king", Paris Match wrote about "laughter to the fourth power". Thanks to its great success, the play was adapted as a television film for France Télévisions in 2024.
