Baroque Opava

A guided tour of Opava's Baroque palaces and churches with art historian and architect Martin Pavlíček (University of Hradec Králové). The tour explores intriguing details: why monks at the Church of the Holy Spirit have swords protruding from their bellies, where to find statues of crucified Japanese Jesuits, and why Prince Liechtenstein's epitaph is accompanied by a hare and a squirrel.

Estimated duration: 90 minutes. Meeting point: in front of the Town Hall (Ostrožná 46). The tour is cancelled in case of severe weather.
