BrKo Ensemble in Brno

The second edition of the BrKo Ensemble autumn concert series arrives in Brno - the Villa Löw-Beer is the second stop of this year's series.

BrKo Ensemble is a seven-member ensemble of young musicians founded at the Brno Conservatory. The members are united by their study of classical music, interest in folk traditions, and a search for their own path between these two musical worlds.

With violins, viols, double bass, cimbalom, and vocals, the ensemble presents their own arrangements of works by Czech composers inspired by folk music. The programme features music by Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, and Leoš Janáček, alongside pieces drawn directly from Moravian folk traditions.
