Architecture Day: Kamenice nad Lipou - Castle

A guided tour of the castle exhibitions led by Martin Grill, an employee of the Museum of Decorative Arts. The route includes displays of toys, blacksmith work, and garden ceramics, and also recalls the castle's last residents and owners - the Geymüller family.

Originally a Renaissance building from the 16th century, today in late-classical form, it was built on the site of an older fortress. Since 1998 it has been managed by the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague; after extensive renovation, the castle was opened to the public in 2004.
