Rumfest 2026: Savanna and the Wild Face of Réunion

A seminar within Rumfest 2026 presenting the Savanna distillery from the island of Réunion – its history, the specifics of local terroir, and the differences between traditional molasses rums, agricole style, and high-ester "grand arôme" rums. The programme includes a tasting of selected samples with detailed insights into fermentation, distillation, and ageing.

The seminar is designed for both experienced rum enthusiasts and those who want to understand why Réunion is currently among the world's most closely watched rum regions. Entry is free with a Rumfest ticket.

Rumfest 2026 (Saturday, 23 May 2026) will also offer hundreds of rums from around the world, rum and signature cocktails, fresh sugarcane juice, masterclasses and guided tastings, seminars with international guests, a Caribbean food court, Latin music, DJs, a live band, and a Latin dance class.
