The Pied Piper is ranked among the most successful original Czech musicals of all time. The original Prague production of the musical story about a mysterious man in a cape with a pipe had over seven hundred performances. It was seen by nearly half a million spectators. The premiere took place in November 1996. In the same month, the albums The Pied Piper I and The Pied Piper II were released, which were soon awarded Gold Records.
