Another Round

The film's title speaks for itself. There is a theory that every person should be born with a certain amount of alcohol in their bloodstream. This mild intoxication supposedly opens our minds to understanding the world around us, eases our problems, and enhances human creativity. This theory captures the interest of Martin (Mads Mikkelsen) and his three friends—exhausted high school teachers. They decide to conduct an experiment in which they maintain a specific level of alcohol in their blood throughout the day. If Churchill managed to win the Second World War with a considerable dose of alcohol, who knows what might happen to them and their students? The initial results are encouraging, and this small project becomes a genuine academic research study. Their lessons and results improve, and the group rediscovers a zest for life! However, when the research goes too far, some must pay the price. It becomes increasingly clear that although alcohol may have contributed to great historical achievements, some bold actions have their consequences.
