Endemité: Stories of Disappearance

A studio Rubín, Prague

"What do you expect from the future? First the end of humanity, then the end of capitalism..."

A naked man emerges on the shore of a lake and claims he calculated climate change nearly two hundred years ago. A family drives to the mountains for skiing and sledding, because tradition is tradition, even without snow. A girl escapes into the forest and speaks with living tree stumps. A tramp has a dialogue with a fish, naturally in German, because this species doesn't exist anywhere else... Something is disappearing... fading away... and emerging again, because time and space are full of layers and they can exist and speak simultaneously.

A magic-realist record of today. An archaeological examination of the present moment, which speaks about it differently than people would describe it themselves. Science fiction about human endemites on planet Earth and entities that have outlived them.

So many genres there were! And so many worries, so beautifully absurd! And also one radical act, after which nothing was ever the same.
