Jazz Open Ostrava 2026

Slezskoostravský hrad, Slezská Ostrava

Jazz Open Ostrava 2026 celebrates the festival's 20th anniversary. The jubilee edition takes place on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 19:00 at Slezskoostravský hrad.

The evening opens with Matyáš Papp Quartet – a quartet of pianist Matyáš Papp, students of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague. The second headliner is Boris Band Combination, led by pianist, composer, and producer Boris Urbánek, featuring Polish saxophonist Marcin Żupański and guitarist Vít Rokyta.

The main star of the evening is multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Justin-Lee Schultz, protégé of Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder, who has been performing on world stages since age nine (including with Jacob Collier and Steve Vai). He will be joined by his sister Jamie-Leight Schultz – this will be their first performance in the Czech Republic.
