A day "without mood", a day "I want to sleep", a day "I don't feel like anything", a day "I'll do it later", a day "I can't", a day "where is the sun?".
Somewhere, someone has the task of putting the same balls into the same box over and over again. Day after day, year after year – and actually no one knows exactly why. In the hope that the walls won't collapse on him, this someone begins to throw the balls against them. The balls scatter through the space – sometimes elegantly and with deceptive ease, sometimes forcefully and intricately. When everything goes well, they land precisely in the box.
In the performance Ballroom, you will sit in a converted cargo truck. Visual artist Lodewijk Heylen designed a concrete stage for this extraordinary interior, where juggler Stijn Grupping – thanks to extensive training and a touch of magic – performs an incredible dance of bouncing balls. Accompanied by the music of Jochem Baelus and Frederik Meulyzers, he will take you on an extraordinary journey without words.
