The Stranger
Divadlo BRAVO!, Prague
"The first definition of a stranger is a person you don't know. But that's far from all."
Physical, visual, sensory…
The Stranger is a play, installation, and interactive performance all in one. A cappella singing and live music guide audiences through muddy paths, dark corridors, and both real and mirrored worlds, where thunderous and sweet voices of ordinary and extraordinary beings resound.
"We are exposed to a series of mirrors that reflect aspects of who we are and who we might be. They reflect glimpses of us in connection with others. What perception do they convey? Real or imaginary? Whose story do the mirrors tell? Is it the story of an individual, or of hundreds of people? And will we recognize ourselves in that story?"
Audiences do not observe the action from seats — they enter directly into the world of the performers, feel their breath, touch their faces, and experience their courage.
