Kolotoč příběhů 2026

The 10th anniversary edition of Kolotoč příběhů, the Czech Republic's only international storytelling festival, takes place 17-25 October 2026 in České Budějovice. Organized by Verbarium, z. s., the festival features the second edition of the Storytelling v praxi conference, workshops, discussions, StoryJam, storytelling performances, a family story-based city game, a community dinner, yoga for children with stories, a storytelling walk, school programmes, and the premiere of an educational virtual reality programme.

The festival is supported by the ERASMUS+ programme, ČSOB pomáhá regionům, the Czech Ministry of Culture, the State Fund for Culture, the South Bohemian Region, and the Czech-German Fund for the Future. The 10th edition is under the patronage of the Czech UNESCO Office; during the festival, a campaign supported by the Stronger Roots programme of the Open Society Fund will be launched.

Festival partners include Artovna, Bistro U Soudku, Bude Cirkus z. s., Divadlo SUD, Goethe Centre of the University of South Bohemia, Department of Authorial Creation and Pedagogy at DAMU Prague, Kreativní institut z. ú., Kulturní klub Horká vana, Kulturní a kreativní centrum Rabenštejnská, Paměť národa Jižní Čechy, StorytellingCZ, and Tiskárna Posekaný. Media partners are Milk and Honey and DÍLO.

All festival programmes are interpreted into Czech, and each includes a recommended age category. Accessibility for people with reduced mobility varies depending on the venue.
