A boy named Emil has a special gift - he can find anything. One day he discovers a lost rabbit with very long ears, and the two become inseparable friends.

But a cunning and spiteful cook arrives in their little town, wanting to take it over and willing to use the most terrible means to do so. Emil and the rabbit stand up to him.

Švandovo divadlo na Smíchově is a Prague city theatre with a tradition dating back to 1881, when it was founded by Pavel Švanda ze Semčic. After extensive renovation it reopened in 2002. It has two performance spaces – the Large Hall (300 seats) and the basement Studio (44–100 seats). The repertoire features productions by the resident drama ensemble as well as guest companies; it is the first Prague drama theatre to offer English surtitles.
