ReneGatz

The second autumn concert of Jazz Club Slaný features the young Brno-based band ReneGatz - and marks the long-awaited replacement for a performance cancelled a year ago due to illness.

ReneGatz moves between modern and traditional jazz, folk, and rock, focusing primarily on their own compositions, which they describe as "musical stories with a dash of boldness". The band's key principle is to write music that naturally reflects the musical personality of each member - and live, often spontaneous communication on stage is as important to them as the songs themselves.

The band won the junior category of the Jazzfruit 2024 competition, has released three live session singles to date, and has performed numerous concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad.
