Etno Brno 2026 - Rí Ra

Rí Ra is a Prague-based group playing Celtic music, formed in early 2008. The band's name comes from the Irish word "rírá" - meaning good fun.

Their repertoire includes songs and ballads in English, French and Irish, along with instrumental jigs and reels played on whistle, classical and Irish flute, violin, guitar, bass guitar, bodhrán and cajón. They don't strictly adhere to traditional Celtic harmony and melody - their sound is enriched with jazz touches, bass slap and improvisations on Irish themes. With the arrival of a new guitarist, jazz solos occasionally appear.
