Wild Jo and intellectual Raisa are cut from different cloth, yet together they survived the trials of school. But at graduation, their first real test awaits: Raisa heads to university, Jo looks for work. Their last evening together is heavy - as if both sense that their diverging paths may never cross again.

Then a mysterious portal opens before them, leading to the myth-shrouded island of Nakali, which their grandmother once told them about. Both hesitate to enter, but the portal pulls them in without warning. On an island filled with strange creatures, they soon discover that the greatest enemy is the island itself - it feeds on their memories. Can they escape before they forget their past lives and their friendship?
