Through the Eyes of Curators: NGP 230: Stories of the Trade Fair Palace with Rado Ištek
To celebrate the National Gallery's 230th anniversary, the Trade Fair Palace will host a series of artistic and architectural interventions - temporarily installed works that recall the gallery's history in this building. The guided tour with commentary will be led by curator Rado Ištek, and participants will see works by Vojtěch Kovařík, Tomáš Vaněk, Jan Šerých, Martina Zetová, Jan Kaplický and others. The event takes place as part of Prague Art Week.
The "Through the Eyes of Curators" series gives voice to those who work with the collections daily - caring for them and studying them in depth. Each meeting focuses on a selected part of the exhibition: the curator shares the themes of their research, key questions, and points out details that are easily overlooked during a regular visit. The expert commentary is presented in an accessible manner and encourages open dialogue.
