Memory Structures with Juris Tatarkins

In this workshop, participants will create their own map of Prague (or their hometown) based on memories, emotions, sensory experiences, and personal associations connected to specific places. Using principles of memory mapping and mnemonic systems, we will explore how places can function as memory containers - and how to assemble from them a personal geography that reveals not just the location of things, but their meaning.

The workshop lasts 3 hours and is conducted in English. Work is done on paper with ink; no previous experience is needed - there will be a few short demonstrations of ink techniques at the start. You are welcome to bring your own favorite tools.
