Impossible Horizons

What lies behind the facades, walls, and closed windows? What horizons open up where we have long stopped looking?

IMPOSSIBLE HORIZONS is a site-specific dance performance in public space - a German-Czech co-production by situation productions. An international team of dancers from Prague, Dresden, and Berlin guides the audience through the Háje housing estate, where five performers move through streets, buildings, rooftops, and courtyards, entering into continuous dialogue with the city.

The choreography draws from conversations with local residents about their experiences of living in the neighbourhood. Windows, walls, and facades become scenography through which their voices resound.

The production by Anna Till / situation productions was created in co-production with Societaetstheater (Dresden), DanceConnected (Prague), and the festival 4+4 dny v pohybu (Prague).
