The Lovesick Skirt-Chaser

Harry Douglas, a flirtatious American ambassador to Great Britain, tells his wife Lois he's heading to Scotland for a golf weekend. Lois announces she'll be at a spa, and their daughter Debbie plans to visit a friend. But Harry secretly returns to the empty house - he's arranged a romantic rendezvous with the attractive neighbor Marianne, where they plan to live out their fantasies: she as a French maid, he as Tarzan.

The plan quickly unravels. Debbie returns with her boyfriend Joe, convinced they'll have the house to themselves. Meanwhile, the embassy faces a bomb threat, so Harry's secretary Faye Baker and Captain South of the U.S. Marine Corps arrive to set up a crisis team. Captain South stations Marines to guard the grounds - no one can leave.

To save the situation, Debbie claims Joe is her friend Josephine. Joe spends much of the play disguised as a girl - and the passionate Harry falls madly in love with her. Captain South believes he's on the trail of a mad terrorist, while clumsy Faye nearly causes the destruction of Great Britain. Will Lois return with her own hidden agenda? And what about the butler Perkins - will he find love too?
