250 Years of the Albertina at ÖKF | 250 Jahre Albertina im ÖKF

The Austrian Cultural Forum in Prague presents an exhibition marking the 250th anniversary of the Albertina, tracing the history of this institution and its collections. The exhibition spans from the origins of the private aristocratic collection founded in 1776 by Duke Albert of Saxony-Teschen and Archduchess Marie Christine of Austria, with its focus on graphic art, to the present-day world-renowned museum with extensive collections across all media, visited by over a million people annually.

On the occasion of the anniversary, Dr. Ralph Gleis, the Albertina's director general, will speak about the museum's history and collections.

The event takes place in English with simultaneous interpretation into Czech.
