Urband is a street ensemble that feeds a song into its rattling machinery and grinds it into something resembling a roar from a dubious bar after closing time. Their repertoire alternates between Russian mafia songs, decadent waltzes, pathetic blues, and creaking jazz.

The ensemble consists of Tomáš Vtípil (violin, vocals), Pavel Všianský (double bass, vocals), and Vladimír Červenka (guitar, vocals).

Admission: 200 CZK in advance, 250 CZK at the door.

About the venue: Ponava Cafe

Ponava Cafe is a café and music club on the edge of Lužánky park in central Brno, right next to the conservatory. It offers specialty coffee, quality beer, and a varied cultural programme focused on jazz, alternative, folk, and blues. The intimate interior hosts small concerts, author readings, and exhibitions, while in summer events move outdoors. The venue organises the annual four-day Ponava Fest and also runs the online Radio Ponava.
