NEVER SOL
Producer, vocalist, and sound artist Never Sol released her third full-length album Rest Your Wound On Mine in April. The album follows the EP Tell The Sea I'm Coming Back and the single LEON, and emerged from a process in which the musician gradually deconstructed the songs into looser abstraction and reassembled them - improvisation on modular synthesizers played a key role. "I eventually returned to song form because it feels natural to me. This time, though, it comes from a process where I gradually deconstructed the songs into looser abstraction and reassembled them. Improvisation allowed me to respond to time, space, and the listener. I think the material reached a shape that holds up," says Never Sol.
The album was created primarily on a Prophet 8 synthesizer and modular systems combined with vocal effects. Heavily processed vocals with pronounced noise and distortion accompany building synthesizer textures. The key single Accord was recorded during a residency at Grey Nivas in New York with vocals from American musician Monika Khot (Nordra). The tracks PATTI and Swamp were created during an organ residency at Atrium Žižkov, With All was recorded entirely live, and the more ambient IHYD at the Vintage Synthesizer Museum in Los Angeles. The studio tracks Rose Garden and Naked Waters stand out for their striking tonal shifts and dense sound textures.
PETR BURSA
Petr Bursa is an emerging name on the Prague experimental electronic scene. His debut EP Heart's Halo works with spectral soundscapes, melodic solace, and the siren charm of sonic darkness.
ADAM THE WORLD
STANICAMIRU
stanicamiru (DJ) builds sets at the intersection of nightcore, online chaos, and weirdcore fragments. Each set is created purely in the moment - without predetermined structures, unpredictably and without filters.
