A performance marking the 90th anniversary of Václav Havel's birth. This one-act play about the passivity of Czech intellectuals is the only play Havel created for Czechoslovak television.

About the venue: Divadlo Husovka

Husovka is a small-scale cultural venue on Husovo náměstí in Karlovy Vary, right next to the Municipal Theatre. The hall seats a hundred people, and since 1999 it has been home to Klub Paderewski, which puts on concerts - rock, folk, jazz and blues - alongside theatre performances, lectures and readings. Divadelní studio D3 uses it as its main stage, while the bar and foyer host painting exhibitions.

About: Václav Havel

Václav Havel (1936–2011) was a Czech playwright, essayist, and statesman. Known for absurdist plays such as The Garden Party, he became a key figure of resistance to communist rule. After the Velvet Revolution of 1989, he served as the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of the Czech Republic.
