Composers' Concert of the Polívka Brothers

A concert dedicated to the original compositions of three brothers - Jan, Václav and Jiří Polívka. The programme features chamber music for children's and adult voices with instrumental accompaniment; some works will have their world premiere, while others are performed only rarely.

The programme brings together Czech and German musicians - professionals, amateurs and young singers - under the direction of conductor and pianist Jan Polívka. A chamber instrumental ensemble will also perform.

Jan Polívka's music works with lyrical character, contemporary expression and vocal colours. Václav Polívka's compositions draw from folk roots and contemporary musical influences. Jiří Polívka focuses primarily on working with young singers, especially from the Mifun choir.
