An evening titled "Forgiveness" offers various perspectives on one question: how to survive a time saturated with conflict and where to find a solid ground in an age of uncertainty.

The programme (18:00-20:30) includes several segments. Mila Medveďovská will sing "Verses of a Ukrainian Soldier" accompanied by Pavel Tylšar (oboe), Tomáš Mach (violin), Otto Hejnice (percussion), and Junko Hirakawa (keyboards). This will be followed by remarks from authors on the theme of forgiveness - Iveta Radičová, Fedor Gál, and others - and a book launch. Helena Zaoralová and Mirek Vodrážka (keyboards) will present the composition "Death to Tyrants". Robert Ivancho, a sergeant of the Ukrainian National Guard, will also perform, and the documentary film "Despite the Fear" will be screened.

From 20:30 onwards, a book signing continues at Lucerna Café.

About the venue: Kino Lucerna

Kino Lucerna is the oldest continuously operating cinema in the Czech Republic, opened on 3 December 1909 inside the Art Nouveau Lucerna Palace on Vodičkova Street. The Great Hall seats 453 and is equipped with 4K projection and Dolby Surround 7.1. From 1926 the cinema was run by Václav and Miloš Havel; in 1929 it became the first Prague cinema to screen a sound film. Today it hosts Czech and international premieres, festival screenings, and gala events.
