Architecture Day: Karlovy Vary - Vila Irene

A guided tour of Vila Irene with historian Lubomír Zeman as part of Architecture Day. The villa dates from the interwar period and exemplifies traditionalist modernism with art deco elements - one of the elegant private residences built on the slopes of Karlovy Vary in the 1920s, when the town began expanding beyond the narrow spa valley.

The villa is currently undergoing renovation. The tour will include normally inaccessible interiors: the entrance vestibule, the grand staircase, and an apartment on the first floor.
