A site-specific performance transforms the railway station into a living stage of contemporary dance and unexpected encounters.
Slovak collective Tanečno and Czech association MOVE Ostrava have jointly created the performative project Connecting/Stations, which brings contemporary dance directly to commuters. The choreography emerges from everyday movement and naturally develops into partnered dance work - it does not tell stories, but experiences them together with the audience.
The concept is authored by Slovak choreographer and performer Andrej Štepita. During his travels in search of culture, he noticed that places where hundreds of strangers pass each other daily offer a natural space for art - and decided to use it. The project deliberately blurs the boundaries between art and everyday life, between spectator and performer, between waiting and experiencing.
Tickets operate on a pay-what-you-can basis - each person chooses from the offered prices according to their own means.
