Robin Hood: King of Thieves

Over fifty feature-length adaptations of the Robin Hood story exist - Kino Aero has chosen the 1991 version directed by Kevin Reynolds.

Kevin Costner returns from the Crusades, joined by Morgan Freeman, and together they lead a band of outlaws with a score to settle with the Sheriff of Nottingham. Alan Rickman plays the sheriff, so a villain you can't help but root for is guaranteed. Reynolds approached the story more as a classic adventure with romance and humor than as a historically accurate tale.

After thirty-five years, the film has aged remarkably well - it works as an action film and family entertainment just as effectively as it did at its premiere.
