Veronika Vlková is a Brno-based visual artist, illustrator, and performing painter. Since her studies at the Brno Faculty of Fine Arts she has worked across media, with a characteristic focus on delicate drawing and watercolour on paper that carries a narrative, poetic quality with illustrative overtones reminiscent of phantasmagorical stories. She also illustrates children's books in collaboration with Jan Šrámek - their title Apolenka z modrotisku earned them the Illustrator of the Year award at Czech Grand Design 2020. She frequently works with other artists and is a musician herself.
