Rockfest Dačice 2026
Rockfest Dačice celebrates its 20th anniversary with a three-day festival of Czech rock and metal bands. Taking place 23–25 July in the open-air cinema of the castle park.
Vanaheim is a Czech heavy/viking metal band from Chlumec nad Cidlinou, formed in December 2015. Their name and lyrics draw on Norse mythology - they sing in Czech about Vikings, Nordic gods and legends. In ten years they have released four full-length albums and two EPs, played Metalfest, Masters of Rock and The Legends Rock Fest, and in 2025 filmed a music video on location in Norway.
Vanaheim released their fourth studio album on March 21, 2026 as a gift for the band's 10th anniversary and christened it at the Chlumec sokol hall.
At the June Metalfest 2025 in Plzen, Vanaheim was the only Czech band in the program.
The band filmed a music video for the song Devět světů in Norway, with a local museum lending a historical longship for the shoot.
They released the single HEL, the second in a series of singles preceding the new album.
They released the EP Lokiho krev, and with singer Miloš Koblmüller having suffered cardiac arrest, Ondra Marek from the bands RoXor and Argos temporarily joined.
