420PEOPLE: KINTSUGI (premiere)
Premiere of a new choreography by Václav Kuneš. The 420PEOPLE ensemble presents KINTSUGI - a dance about visible breaks and their repairs as part of the narrative.
Václav Kuneš (born 1975, Prague) is a choreographer, dancer and artistic director of the contemporary dance company 420PEOPLE, which he co-founded with Nataša Novotná in 2007 after eleven years with Jiří Kylián's Nederlands Dans Theater. At NDT he performed works by Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Mats Ek and Nacho Duato, and served as Kylián's assistant. With 420PEOPLE he stages his own choreographies alongside pieces by international guests - from Crystal Pite to Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui - on Czech and foreign stages. He is also known to wider audiences as a former judge on the Czech TV show StarDance.
