Unique Orchestra is a Prague-based multi-genre ensemble founded in 2020 by cellist Šimon Marek - the only orchestra in the Czech Republic that professionally focuses on pop, rock, jazz and film music rather than classical repertoire. Chief conductor Alexey Aslamas, an award-winning violinist and arranger, has led the ensemble since its founding. The orchestra draws on top players from the Czech and Slovak pop and jazz scenes and has collaborated with artists including Ewa Farna, Lenny, Richard Krajčo, Pavel Šporcl and Lake Malawi, while also recording music for film and ballet.
The Unique Orchestra performed on the summer stage of Barrák music hrad in Ostrava with the program Klasika bez fraku, which combined classical music, metal and rock under the open sky.
The Unique Orchestra concert in Slany in December 2025 was sold out.
Unique Orchestra participated in the Glorchestra 2022 project, a multi-genre concert series with light and visual effects.
The orchestra recorded music for the television film Zbožňovaný for Czech Television and for the ballet Bohemian Gravity.
