Toyen (born Marie Čermínová, 1902–1980) was a Czech visual artist and one of the most significant surrealist painters in Central Europe. She co-founded the Devětsil group and later the Czechoslovak Surrealist Group. After World War II she emigrated to Paris, where she continued to work until her death.
