Theodoric

About

Master Theodoric was the court painter of Emperor Charles IV of Bohemia, active in the 14th century. He is best known for the series of panel paintings created for the Chapel of the Holy Cross at Karlštejn Castle, a landmark of medieval Bohemian art. Around 1359 he became the first recorded master of the Prague painters' guild.
