The Clockworks are an Irish post-punk four-piece from Loughrea, Galway - James McGregor, Sean Connelly, Damian Greaney and Tom Freeman. They relocated to London in January 2019, quickly signed to Alan McGee's Creation23 label, and recorded their debut album Exit Strategy (2023) at Abbey Road Studios with producer Bernard Butler. Their second album, The Entertainment, came out in March 2026 on V2 Records, largely written and recorded independently at home.
The Entertainment's second album was released on March 27, 2026 on V2 Records; Clash Magazine gave it a rating of 8/10.
In November 2025, the band announced the album The Entertainment and released the single 'Through the Looking Glass'.
In autumn 2025, the band performed a fourteen-date European tour as the opening act for Johnny Marr.
The single 'Best Days' released on V2 Records marked the start of a new chapter for the band and their collaboration with the new label.
